2016 WRX Differential Fluid Change

I went to the dealer for my 30k maintenance and they said that after inspecting my diff fluid they recommended changing the front and rear (they claim it is because i live in 'severe' conditions, Arizona). It looks like according to the maintenance schedule it isn't even supposed to be inspected until 60k - should I bother changing it now? They wanted ~$600 to change it.
