Monsters and Terrain Control

So, there's this web-serial that I really like, called Worm. One of the heroes of the series is a girl by the name of Vista, who has the ability to compress and stretch space as she sees fit. Her main limitation is that she can't do it around living beings. This is, as you can imagine, great for battlefield control.

So my thoughts wandered over to pathfinder from this, and I wondered if there are any monsters out there that have a passive or at-will ability to massively change the terrain to their advantage? I've got some idea of some creatures which have auras that cause fear effects or like the Verdurous Ooze, which causes a localized entanglement spell. I'm wondering more about battlefield control, ala a wizard, but without being a wizard or spellcaster. Stuff like player repositioning, and terrain denial are what I'm looking for.
