About Jon and Daenerys's Relationship

So now that Dany and Jon are in love, I just wanted to point out something lacking in their relationship. Emilia, who got a lot of hate before because people thought her acting was bad (which I don't approve of), has done an amazing job this season in my opinion. She's been portraying Daenerys's emotions really well. However, I feel there is something missing on Jon's side. I don't know if it's Kit's fault or just the writing of this season, but if it weren't for Davos and Tyrion pointing out that Jon keeps staring at Daenerys, I doubt we'd be able to know if he is in love with her (considering we don't know they'll have boat sex in the finale).
