I believe I want to leave college and live in Thailand. Am I crazy or not?

I am a 20 years old man who recently went to Thailand for two months and I loved every bit of it. The lifestyle was so relaxing as opposed to United States' stressful lifestyle. Everything is so expensive in USA, and it is frustrating. I only make roughly 1,000 dollars a month and I have plenty of bills to pay including a college debt. While in Thailand, many things are easily affordable and I never had to think thoroughly if I could afford this meal/merchandise at all from my two months trip. Hell, I was even able to eat out three times a day with smoothies or iced tea on the side. I went shopping for clothes and souvenirs without any financial worries at all.

Socially, it was excellent with meeting many new friends during my trip, both foreigners and local Thais. I still keep in touch with many of them on Facebook and I definitely can imagine myself hanging out with them again in the future. Not just that, I find Asians, specifically Thais to be much more attractive than Western girls. I've dated with few Thais and it was a great experience for me.

The cultural and social difference between the Western and Eastern worlds is simply beautiful and I always will appreciate both worlds.

For myself, I plan on landing an educational visa by obtaining an English teaching career or any kind of internship in either Bangkok or Chiang Mai or any of the major cities in Southeast Asia. I have calculated that I would be able to earn $1000 dollars a month in Thailand. It is essentially the same as the United States, but the big bonus is that I do not have a college debt as a burden. I love to teach and I know I will love my job.

America is an amazing country indeed and college has been great with social and academics for me but something feels missing. Thailand filled the missing link inside me and I felt so free and content during the trip. I think it is not exactly a bad idea for me to hop off from the Social Ladder (Graduating from HS, getting bachelors, finding a job, marriage, and et cetera) and live in Thailand until I am ready to move back to USA or even to a different country.

There are few things that are holding me from making this decision. It might be wiser if I receive my BA degree first, but it will take me two more years. I have my friends and families in the Untied States and I'm not exactly sure how they will feel if I basically "disappear" by moving out of the country, but thankfully we have social media nowadays. Last of all, I am tired of the bad stigma Americans have against Thailand, espeically with the sex tourism industry. I am not sure how my friends/families will perceive me if I end up moving to Thailand, and I hope it will not affect my reputation in any way. I am sure there are few more negative factors, but I strongly feel that the positive factors absolutely exceed the negatives.

Thank you for reading this and throw me your thoughts. Feel free to share your advice or just roast me, I will be more than happy to hear them!

EDIT 1: I get a welfare check every month, which gives a plenty amount of money in Thailand. I prefer not to expand on my welfare checks, but if I had to live on my welfare check without a job, I would pick Thailand over USA with no hesitation.
