PSA: Do not trust the person claiming to be a paramedic with epilepsy and begging for money.

He was seen posting here the other day under the username Linksys43. He originally posted in this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/ems/comments/6uaf50/paramedic_with_no_job_recently_diagnosed_with/

He was called out for posting in r/forgeries to get people to alter background checks for him. http://imgur.com/did0tFu

He was also caught lying a second time in an effort to further victimize himself and garner sympathy while making excuses for a handout. https://www.reddit.com/r/ems/comments/6uaf50/paramedic_with_no_job_recently_diagnosed_with/dlr4c2v/

https://www.reddit.com/r/ems/comments/6uaf50/paramedic_with_no_job_recently_diagnosed_with/dlr5eus/

In addition, he brags about how he's "saved many lives" as a critical care paramedic. So much that he's "lost count".

Today he posted a meme about how he's saved many lives as a paramedic and has been diagnosed with epilepsy. Again, he was asking for a handout, but promptly removed his post after someone pointed out he was the same person from yesterday posting about the same thing. Unfortunately, it was removed before I could screenshot it.

Whether or not he is a "critical care paramedic that has saved many lives" or that he truly has epilepsy is not the issue at hand. Based on the evidence above, his credibility is clearly in question.

This week I was grabbing groceries after volunteering in the ER, I was wearing scrubs. Some solicitor came up to me and said “Can I speak to you real quick before you go back to being a hero who saves lives” I hate solicitors so I said “Ugh, no!” And she walked away while saying to me “Oh alright then we’ll just lose funding then” looking for me to feel guilted by her manipulative tactics. I said “Bye!”

I don’t save lives by any means, I stock and grab things for nurses. I’m a student. Just rubbed me the wrong way. It’s bad enough to harass hard working people in the parking lot of a grocery store without attempting to manipulate them emotionally.

Why do you guys wear scrubs outside the hospital, eg. on your way home etc? Don't you want to change at the locker room?

5
dispositionsweet•

No changing rooms. No place to put backpacks with change of clothes. I only do 4 hour shifts of restocking supplies and such, I’m not too worried about the state of my scrubs as a volunteer. If I was a nurse I’d be more concerned

Locker room... haha, that's rich.

Rich? Essential, more likely.

No where I've worked.

The vast majority, if not all of the staff at my hospital (1,300 or so employees total), wear scrubs to and from work. There is a locker room, but it is in an absurdly inconvenient location.

If clothes get soiled by potentially infectious fluids, the hospital has some different scrubs they can wear, and the hospital launders their personal scrubs.

Then I have to bring a set of clothes, change in the bathroom, and take my scrubs home to wash them anyways. Not worth it unless I ride my bike to work.

So I can be thanked for my service obvi!

After a few days of searching, the OP just got back from a week-long cruise with his fiancee, and purchased an expensive puppy for his son, which he does not have custody of.

About the only honest thing he's said is that he's a paramedic, that was easy to confirm with the State of Pennsylvania.

And, as we all know, seizure treatment is only $1,000.

He also is slated to get married 6/30/18 to Kiersten.

It's neat what you can find when you follow the links and do some googling...

Pointless, he posted the meme under a different name. I called him out right away and the post was deleted within minutes

Call me a sonofabitch, but even if he/she was credible I don't really have any sympathy for someone who hasn't saved several months worth of expenses, especially working in an injury prone field.
