Can I get a tourist visa with less than a months notice?

I would like to travel to Beijing, from the UK, on September 20th. Is there enough time for me to get a visa?

Should be more than enough time, as long as you're able to go to Manchester or London (twice)

There are probably agencies that will do the app for you, but of course this takes longer so make sure you have time to use them.

They have a postal application system themselves, but with a bank holiday in the middle it might cut close.

done it before, start it asap though just to make sure, but from my experience i usually get my visas within a week.

Absolutely. I went to Hong Kong to get my visa and paid extra for next day service. Took 2 days.

facepalm.

Yes, I can read. My point is it's available quickly across the board, and if not then HK is another available option.

You can lower your palm.

Right. Tell the guy coming for tourism to waste prt of his holiday going to Hong Kong and spending the first two days getting a visa. Oh, and taking an unnecessary stopover for no reason, good one.

Might as well tell him to get a green card so he can get a 10 year tourist visa in his as yet I obtained American passport.

From reviewing the thread, I don't remember telling him to do shit. In fact, I only remember telling him what happened in my own personal experience to serve as an example of the ease of the process. Seems you've mistaken my intentions... No worries; English is a difficult language to master.
