Prints!

I've been thinking of trying to volunteer to work on someone's stall at a farmers market for a while. Get used to the experience and maybe request my own stall this autumn or next year. However, I am unsure of what materials to put my art work on if I want prints of it. Do you do it on normal sketching paper? Promarkers paper? Or canvas or something? I have no idea, I need help. Can anyone give me any advice? Thanks! :)
