Death is patiently waiting for you
So wow my cousin and then his dad my uncle managed to die within 60 days of each other. My cousin OD'ed in the bathroom and hit his dead on the toilet. Never regained consciousness. Young 20s.
My uncle mid 50s and lifetime drinker just gave up. The damage he caused his body with alcohol was too much. He's stopped taking his medication and just died. His liver was failing and kidneys were shot. Death was at his door soon regardless.
Sometimes I forget about the despair and tragedy that's right around the corner with that first drink. This side of my family lives on the other side of the country so it's easy to tune out and "forget".
Alcohol is a patient disease...it will wait for you. I will not drink today.
