What's up with the hateful behavior of some members of the crestfall community towards their own project?

Ok, seriously: I'm re-reading the entire announcement on the crestfall forum right now...god the comments are out of this world Oo. So much hate towards the team just because they decided to merge with Elysium.

Correct me if I'm wrong but:

-During the negociations, they made sure that the philosophy of the project would remain the same

-They clearly said that the project would probably shut down if Asura kept the ownership because he's American (the Felmyst catastrophe was probably a major wake-up call)

-All the costs will be handled by Elysium and they can focus 100% on the development. Plus the system admin of crestfall will be from the crestfall team.

So not only did they annihilate all the legal issues, which is reassuring for a lot of people, but they managed to avoid having to shut down their project, AND it's quite clear that their PTE servers will be the next main Elysium servers...or to make it clearer: "the next big thing" (I know a lot of you guys will be triggered by this expression).

Please, explain to me what exactly is wrong with that? Is this just the common toxic "elitism" that some players like to resort to?
