Anecdotal survey, is the Surface Book junk?

I'm interested in buying one sometime. I think it's a sweet idea, beautiful machine. However, I come to this subreddit almost daily and seems like there's always multiple posts with some kind of issue. So I was looking to get a lot of comments and maybe distill something from it:

How long have you had it? If you did have a problem did Microsoft hardware support fix it?
