What made you choose your first Forester?

What made you decide to get your first Forester out of all the cars? Because I know once you had the first one, you loved it and kept coming back. To the XT guys; why'd you choose an XT over a WRX/STI? Me, my mother leased a 2011 Impreza hatch way back. The car was relatively cheap and well equipped and my dad likes a more "premium" brand over toyota and honda. once the lease was up she wanted something bigger, so we took a 2014 Forester Limited. I drove the car most of the time and I fell in love with the forester. It was relatively quick, but had a lot of room and nice features. Once that lease was up, she leased the 17 XT; but I quickly took over that lease and plan to buy it out (buyout value at the end of the lease is $21K which is great). I had an option to buy a 2011 MB E63 but I chose the XT instead.
