[CAN]Are these programs worth it?
Hi guys,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I've always received sound advice from this sub. I've posted in here as well as pfCanada just because this is a bigger sub and even though information might not be as accurate, i'm worried I might not get any replies in the smaller, sister sub.
So I've failed at completing a BA degree in a well known University in Ontario and I plan on dropping out. I've applied to different business programs at Sheridan and Humber and have been accepted to all of them. What I would like is your opinion on the:
• Relevance of the program in terms of how employers would look at the degree • Job prospects •How employers would look at it compared to a similar degree from a University •Worth 4 years and 28k?
The first few programs from Humber:
•Digital Management (4 year)- 490 hour work placement and boasts that grads have been hired by "CIBC, City of Toronto, CCV Insurance and Financial, Ticketmaster Canada, TD Canada Trust..." http://business.humber.ca/programs/digital-business-management.html#SchoolProgramDetails/ProgramAdmissionRequirements
• Business admin co-op (3 year)- business degree covering a wide range of topics with two 15 week placements http://business.humber.ca/programs/business-administration-co-op.html
• Bachelor of commerce accounting (4 year)- program follows CPA requirements and has 490 hour paid work placement https://business.humber.ca/programs/accounting-bachelor-of-commerce.html
Sheradin: •Honours Bachelor of Business Administration Accounting (4 year)- One semester work term, program meets the CPA degree req for CPA Professional Education Program https://academics.sheridancollege.ca/programs/bachelor-of-business-administration-accounting
•Honours Bachelor of Business Administration Supply Chain Management (4 year)- One semester co-op https://academics.sheridancollege.ca/programs/bachelor-of-business-administration-supply-chain-management
Thanks for any advice on which program to pursue, if any.
