D2 clan bonuses & rewards are nice, but should be bare minimum in terms of its advantages.
While I run with my own clan of several close buddies, I also have many other friends who prefer to be neutral or uncommitted - for various reasons - and therefore intentionally remain clan-less. I even know some people who remain clan-less because they simply like that "blank" space under their name; minimalists, perhaps.
There are also people who belong in clans with their close knit friends/family comprising of only 3-4 members, or clans with say 6 members who specialize in doing raids together each week.
The point is, not everybody belongs to medium or large clans of 10+, 20+, 30+ or even 100 members that will have no issues reaping in those clan rewards and bonuses.
Destiny is a multiplayer/social game, but you don't need to be in a clan to chat, befriend, play against, or join fireteams with other people.
Players shouldn't feel compelled to NEED to be in any clan, much less a large one, in order to enjoy the game as much as those who belong to large clans that can easily attain the benefits of clan rewards and bonuses.
TL;DR - That said, I think D2 clan features like rewards and bonuses should be beneficial to its clan members, but only to a bare minimum where it doesn't give them any significant advantage in game play or QoL over those who are clan-less or belong to smaller clans.
What do you think?
