Cooling my first build
So, I'm building my first PC ever. Until now I've mostly used only laptops to work and consoles for gaming. But I'm a video editor and my 2015 macBook Pro isn't enough for me anymore, I need nothing else, so I started this project. I want something simple that can handle my video editing and some 1080p gaming.
Anyway, I've already bought the motherboard, GPU and CPU. But I'm worried about the i7 7700 cooling. Many websites forums that I've read says that the stock cooler is enough if you don't intend to overclock (also most of those posts are talking about older cpus). But I was thinking of getting a more powerful (and maybe silent) air cooler for my CPU.
The problem is the case that I chose, the Corsair Air 240, it has to be a low profile cooler. I was thinking of getting the beQuiet Shadow Rock LP, the Big Shuriken 2 or something like that. I'm trying to stay away from water-cooling because of my budget and I'm worried about it's maintenance.
So what do you guys recommend? Is a LP air cooler good enough for editing and gaming? Do I need to pick another case that can fit a proper big ass tower air cooler? Or there's a reliable budget water cooler (like the Corsair H75 maybe)?
Thanks for any help. :)
This is what I've right now:
