What made TF2 quotes so... quotable?

Recently, I've found the r/games thread about Rise and Shine doesn't have much good to say about Blizzard's writing, some making the comparison to TF2.

My initial reaction was to deny it completely. After all, I've seen Overwatch quotes around reddit. "It's high noon." "Heroes never die"

But then I considered the thought further...

Most Overwatch quotes I see are very short sentences/phrases that are repeated several times in-game.

In contrast to TF2, I know several people who can quote the whole Meet the Team videos word for word from beginning to end.

Does anyone remember most of what was said in the recent Overwatch video? What about the video before that?

Why? Is this just nostalgia goggles? Is Overwatch just too young? Is it simply the audience/player base?

Am I just crazy or is this actually a thing?
