Problems with new Pleione Maculata

Link to photos The plant arrived in great condition from the nursery but after having it about 2 months I started noticing these brown marks appear near the leaf tips. They brown areas have definitely expanded since but it seems to happen in bursts rather than steadily over time. I'm inclined to think the marks are a result of the plant drying out because I haven't gotten the watering schedule down to a tee yet but I could be completely wrong. Any insight would be greatly appreciated
