Regarding the newly announced Joker origin movie

Tbh, I am not really sure how to respond to this because one of the few things that makes the Joker iconic is his lack of backstory.

Nobody really knows why or how he became the Joker and that is a part of his "charm". What was something that was so horrible that turned this man into such a horrifying monster? The more you want to think about it, the more you don't want to know because you expect something really horrifying to turn this one man such a monstrosity.

Adding an origin story and making it canon for that universe kinda loses a part of the iconography of what makes the Joker so unique as a villian
