Is it okay not to dedicate a thesis?
It seems like every thesis has a dedication to either the student's family or partner. While I love my partner very much and she's included in the acknowledgements, I feel like dedicating the thesis to her would not be honest.
I did not pursue PhD studies for her, I did it for me.
For her, it would have been much easier hadn't I started the PhD (more money, more time, less drama) so saying "hey, I did it all for you" now doesn't feel right. Or do I overthink it?
