Labyrinthian (or bringing a knife to an 80 hp/s regen fight)

Spoiler

So I meant to post this in the 'confessions' thread but I haven't been able to get around to it and I don't want to risk committing thread Necromancy. But I thought that this was kinda cool, so I figured I'd post this in a new thread and share with you all.

I know to most of you veterans, this common knowledge. But this is my first excursion into Labyrinthian. And here's how I did it.

So the character (my first non-Nord HA warrior) that I've been playing with since mid March started out as a little Breton flower girl with no combat skills but with an unnatural knack for Necromancy (primary skills being Conjuration and Alchemy). Without getting into too much detail, she made pilgrimage to Skyrim to study at the College of Winterhold where she hopes to master her necromantic talents in order to bring her dead lover back to life (without any nasty turning into dust side effects). I was going for a darker 'The Worst Witch' vibe where she gives anything to study at the College but without being particularly schooled in the ways of magic. After a grueling trial (using Entrance Requirements mod), she was accepted and went on to best Saarthal, Felglow Keep (after much savescumming) and whatever that Dwemer Ruin is on the quest line. But now the college is in trouble and she needs to find the staff of Magus in order to continue her training.

But Labyrinthian Suuuuuuuuucks! Those Dragon Priests mean business. Normally, conjuration is a great swiss-army knife where summons/raised skellie's can help with any situation. Not against Dragon Priests. Raised dead cannot get around their ridiculous health regen and they can just turn summoned atronachs on you. Luckily (thanks to this Sub-reddit) I found they were pretty susceptible to Slow-Time. Since she was already caught up in the main-quest, she killed some dragons, learned some shouts, got a vote of confidence from Paarthanax and decided to give Labyrinthian another go (for the third time) using her other weapon (sneaking around and using copious amounts of potions/poisons).

Combining Mehrunes Razor with slow time and damage undead poisons (courtesy of CACO), she was finally able to start holding her own in there. The Morokei fight was particularly awesome. He summoned his dragon priest ghost army but she had an undead army of her own (courtesy of the Ritual Stone) and were able to keep the ghosts at bay, allowing her to slip on through and get him right before the slow time effect ended with her last 2 damage undead poisons and a proc'd Mehrune's Razor:)

Now, I know that using the damage undead poison's would be considered cheating but I kind of liked the whole lite-magic approach to the Mage College quest line. And regardless, Labyrinthian was still friggin hard, and I did not end up clearing it (although it does not say cleared on the map so I may have missed something) until lvl 34 so I don't think that I overcheesed the place.

So the moral of this story is, uhhh.. Requiem is great?
