360 controller compatibility w/ Oculus Home content?

Another newbie question here: can I use an old 360 controller to play non-Touch games (like Chronos, for example)? Has anyone here done it successfully, and if so, how?

I purchased one of the newer bundles that excluded an Xbox One controller and adapter, and I'm not sure I'm willing to buy a brand new controller right now. I do, however, have a couple of fully functional 360 controllers, which I think I can connect wirelessly with a different adapter that I'd nonetheless have to purchase separately. Obviously, I'd like to only buy what's necessary.
