Question about knots

Awaiting Flair

I am trying to attach line lock tensioners to my new tent in the same way I had them on my old one(but without sewing). I am attaching a few pictures to help describe the area I need advice. Also, any other attachment methods that you think are better, but I am going out this weekend and dont want to buy supplies I dont already have (I already have plenty of the cord pictured).

Pictures

I am double larks heading one side of the line lock, but I need to figure out the best knot to use when I attach the two loose ends to the loop on my tent.

Picture 1: This is a picture of the line lock I am using with the larks head configuration.

Picture 2: This is what I am attaching it to. The two blue ends, need to tie on the orange loop. I want to make it strong, but also as short as possible, without sewing.

Picture 3: This was my inspiration, a picture of my old tent that had this type of tensioning.

::EDIT:: Thanks for the suggestion, I ended up using a simple overhand knot and it seems to be working well.
