Why do people have so many problems with USB extensions?

I bought a few different cables to enable a proper room scale the other day however the fact i have to move my pc into a room to use is becoming well annoying.. So the plan is to use a 10m usb and hdmi cable plug that into a POWERED hub then into the extentions from there. Now i know alot of people here are on the "Only use these cables" bandwagon however if you have everything powered at each end its just keeping that signal strong is the problem. Ive plugged my whole setup into a small powered hub and worked fine. As in works perfectly every time i use it. This one if anyone is interested . https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-4-Port-Ultra-Drives-Devices/dp/B00Y25XFGK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1503662891&sr=8-2&keywords=anker+usb+3.0+hub

Has anyone tried this or shall i be guinea pig?
