Critical severity & critical chsnce

Hello everyone, ps4 SW Hellbringer Fury here.

So I wouldn't say I'm brand new to the game; however, I've been playing a second character as a sw. I've been about 2 months in and I am at 11.5k item level.

My power as of today (writing this) 23.5k without any buffs

My crit 10.4 without any buffs

My crit severity is 105%

I have been back and forth between lightning, vorpal, & now I'm using dread. I know lightning works off of a very high power statistic. Vorpal off of a higher critical chance (i am at 51%) and I am not sure what exactly dread works off of. I know it adds an insane amount to my crit severity and some of that is converted to weapon damage, but I am still confused as to where the dread takes its affect from.

Some may say that dread is good for soulbinder scourges.

Some may even say that the pillar of power doesn't support the dread enchantment.

So far I haven't found any one particular weapon enchantment that works with my current level.

What I mean by this "not working" is that I unslotted my weapon enchantment prior to slotting dread and it seemed as if I was hitting the same dps. So really what I am asking is

A) does anyone run the dread and have good outcomes with it.

B) what exactly contributed to the dps of dread...is it a high crit severity stat, or critical chance.
