Considering a Volvo purchase

My company has what appears to be an attractive agreement with Volvo - something called A-plan Elite. It drove me to consider a Volvo purchase for the first time (an XC90), but I'm not sure what the owner experience is like (don't know or have ever known a Volvo owner). Is it more expensive to maintain a Volvo? Are there any peculiarities to look out for? Is anyone out there familiar with the "A-plan" thing? Will I eventually develop an accent and grow a magnificent beard?

EDIT: I went and drove an XC90 Inscription Polestar and fell in love with it. Also negotiated a favorable deal below the A-plan price. My wife went and drove a VW Atlas SEL Premium.

We now have a VW Atlas in the driveway. Happy wife, happy life.... ;-)
