Affordable place for hiking clothing/gear

Is there a good place online with affordable hiking gear? I mean the only place I'm aware of is REI and every time I go there I just look around because even a basic light pair of trail shoes is $120. Is REI worth the prices? I'm sure it is quality but I have a difficult time justifying $200 dollar boots when I got a pair for $30 at Marshals that have worked great for me.
