My Friday Night After 4 Weeks of NC
So it's Friday night right now, and instead of going out I'm in bed.
Things are definitely easier.
I remember when I first started no contact was so I can get him back. I was so desperate and every advice column I read told me to go no contact, so he can miss me etc. I was going to do it for 1 month which is nearly here, and then message him but now I've gotten to the point where I don't want him in my life ever again.
I no longer look at things through rose coloured glasses, and can see I deserve to be treated so much better and he wasn't that God I put on a pedestal after all.
I can start picturing a happy future now without him in it and can also picture myself being with other guys. I now get excited to receive messages from someone else, though nothing will come out of it, I'm glad I've gotten past the point of waiting around for him to contact me and now waiting for someone else to do so instead.
Though just hours before, I was clutching the plushie he gave me and just sobbed but it no longer physically hurts my heart. I'm thankful he was such a jerk since it made this whole process easier and faster. Now I'm just mourning the lost of someone I used to know and not his love.
I can see him trying to patronise me on social media when I accidentally stumbled upon breadcrumbs. I know he's trying to elicit a response from me but it only showcased how much of a loser he really is.
To anyone who's reading this and is going through a hard time, I promise you, time heals all wounds. It's up to you to start seeing the reality and once you do you'll see the world is full of possibilities that does not involve your ex. The fact that a person abandoned someone they used to love, should be a clear indicator that they are not worthy and would throw you away so easily without fighting for you as you would for them.
4 weeks ago, I would have never thought for the life of me I would feel this way, yet, here I am.
Just remember they made the decision to end it, they saw a future WITHOUT YOU and you should as well.
