Stinky oil

I decided about 3 months back to grow a beard. I've always had a stubble beard but this was more a kind of laziness than beard interest. Anyway, I have chosen a ducktail-style and recently started shaping with oil and balm, trying to get the wild hairs more in shape.

I use an oil and balm from a local grocery called "Originals". But it stinks. I mean, It does the trick but the scent is not what you would call fresh. It's like your beard has been lying between wet towels for a week. I've been checking the internet and see many more available oils and other stuff, but I would like to avoid the risk of ending up with stinking oil again.

Any of you guys have some good suggestions? I like a fresh smell or a nice not to overwhelming scent!
