The bullshit assumption that even incels won't question.
I replied to a comment in another thread about why I don't buy into the incel mindset even though I'm essentially a wizard. Now I've made a post about it because it's the one thing no one's talking about here.
Incels pride themselves on questioning all of the bullshit they've been fed by society, but there's one underlying assumption that's apparently too precious for even incels to challenge: your life isn't worth living if you don't have a partner, and you're useless/subhuman if you can't achieve that.
Says fucking who? It's taken for granted so much that all of the advice from well-meaning "normies" is basically "your life is worth living because if you do X, Y, Z then you, too, can have a romantic relationship!", and advice from incels is basically "you can't have a romantic relationship so fucking give up on life you worthless subhuman."
Well, you're both wrong. Romantic relationships are out of some people's grasps for a variety of reasons. It sucks. Living life with a good woman who loves you at your side is obviously the best option. But why are incels as a group so willing to accept that it's the only option?
Being perpetually single sucks. It can be lonely. But it's bullshit that if the best option is beyond you, you may as well just LDAR. Call me an asshole, but I'm not going to let anyone tell me my life isn't worth living because I'm a weirdo & extreme introvert.
The way I see it, being perpetually single is like a wound. And incels as a community are obsessed with picking at that wound and examining the wound and analyzing how they got it and how unfair it is that they of all people were wounded in this way. And that wound never heals and just festers and gets infected and spreads to every other part of your life.
Let that bitch heal. If you're here, I'm going to guess you've spent enough time grieving for this partnered life that's probably not going to happen for you. Now STOP FUCKING PICKING. Accept that this is your life, it sucks, and move the fuck on. Let that bitch scar over. It still sucks sometimes, but it's the difference between the occasional pang of disappointment and an all-encompassing depression.
It's so frustrating to me that as a group you're so willing to buy in so fully to this bullshit meme that life is only worth living if you have romantic love. Boo-fucking-hoo. You're defective, I'm defective, we're all defective. Once you reject the bullshit underlying assumption that our defects make us worthless, your life's going to look a lot different.
