Any wound care nurses here? What was your path like?

I'm two semesters away from graduating in an ADN program, and while that seems far off, the time usually flies by. I've been interested in wound care from the beginning, though I haven't been exposed to much yet. What was your path like for specializing in wound care? Was it a difficult job to get? Thanks for any input!
