How long did it take for your stomach to be more "normal" after going gluten free?

Hello everyone,

I've been gluten free for over a month now, and some days my stomach is almost "normal". Other days (like today), it is (TMI) basically diarrhea so bad it's completely liquid.

I feel like I'm not doing something right, but I come from a family with food allergies who understand the importance of not cross contaminating and everyone is very careful! I don't eat out anymore.

It's not like there hasn't been any improvement; it's just that as soon as it seems to be getting better, it gets worse again. The only thing I can think of is if I'm either getting accidental exposure somewhere or if I have another sensitivity/IBS that I don't know about.

Anyway, what kind of timeline did you guys have for healing after going gluten free? How long did it take for digestive problems to normalize? I know complete healing takes a while, but days like today are no better than I was before diagnosis.

Damn, this disease is frustrating. :P

TLDR; I am curious what kind of personal experience you had and how long it took to see improvement.
