I (18M) have a huge crush on my best friend (18F)

So I became close with this girl this year, and since we first spoke, we get on very well. We became very close, now we talk almost everyday, and share pretty much everything with each other. For about a month or two I realized that I have feelings for her and that I actually really liked her. The thing is she went through a relationship, which ended very badly. She continued to talk about the guy for about a month, but now it seems that she is over him. I am in a dilemma if I should come out and tell, but I am afraid if she hasn't the same feelings, our friendship would be ruined and lose her totally.
