PHP CLI memory limit

If I run php cli with an ini memory_limit of -1 on an x64 ubuntu installation, is there a system limitation to how much ram it is allowed to consume?

Like on windows x32 the OS limits the size any app to 4gigs. Is there anything similar in ubunutu x64?
