Nonexistent hit registration?!

Does anyone else seem to be firing blanks? PPSh CQC dead on the enemy and getting dropped immediately. The annoying thing is I can't check my ping in-game to see how my connection quality is. Surely I can't be the only one experiencing this? I know its the beta and there's gonna be issues but it's inconsistent enough to be frustrating and stop me from wanting to play.

I always use SMGs so I don't really want to have to adapt and use ARs just because the hit reg's gone full whack!
