33 [M4F] Hazy Hot & Humid
Hazy, hot, and humid. Three words I really did not want to hear before leaving for work. There is little less enjoyable than feeling the air part as you try to make your way to work. Given the need to actually wear clothing - dress shirt and slacks - it makes the entire commute a fight against my own perspiration.
The air outside is heavy and I can see the haze refract the sun. "Great" I utter just above my breath as I start my trudge to the bus stop. Along the way I notice I'm not the only one affected by the weather. The dogs are all panting while their walkers do the same. The day time professionals have traded heels for sandals in an effort to make things easier while some have opted for wisps of sundresses.
None of it matters though - in this weather everything is stuck to the body by a thin sheen of sweat.
I look up at the sky, imploring it for the release a downpour would bring. Instead I just get nothing - just more of the same thick air. Defeated I trudge to the bus stop and I see you there, clearly affected by the weather as well.
Hazy, hot, and humid.
"Some weather, eh?"
