About the Yao Gaui Roast...

Is the bug permanent in game? Will the buff ever wear off? I play on Xbox One.

To give you some context, I'm doing my second playthrough of this game (only got it a few months ago and am loving it) because I did lots of stuff wrong on my first run and wanted more of a challenge.

So I'm doing a melee only survival run. I'm level 35, bout 30+ hours in and I cook a Yao Gaui Roast. I have Kremvh's Tooth, which with my build was doing about 112 base damage. I eat the roast, and continue on my way, but after a few minutes I realised that I was 1-shotting everything. So I check my weapons tab, only to find that it now has a base damage of 782. I checked the wiki and it said that the roast grants a 500% damage increase to melee damage. At first I thought this was hilarious and awesome, but it's been over 2 hours and the buff hasn't worn off. Although I like being a god, I don't want to have to restart because of a glitch.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this? Any help is appreciated!
