When the husband wrote about planning to shoot somebody, he wasn't talking about Care but about Toneth/the dog that was hit by a car

I was thinking about the text found in Cares room, and I think I figured something out. The text seems to be about Care, but there are two sentences that don't seem to relate to Care.

She'll appear from the darkness, limping, and I'll shoot her in the head.

They wander the Newmaker Plane.

Now, although both sentences could, on the first look, seem that they are about Care, on the second look they are not. Care does not 'appear from the darkness', she just sits on her platform in her hut. She probably does not limp, since she does not seem to have any leg injuries... but do you know who has? Toneth and the dog mentioned in Toneths description, who may or may not be the same being. We see that Toneth has a broken leg and we read that the dog was hit by a car.

Has broken leg for some reason. I already hung him on a wall, too late to take it back. It makes me think about the dog actually. Because when the car hit him I thought "at least it will be over soon." He survived it, and I was the only one who still wanted to put him down. A dog is an innocent [illegible]. When that dog wags its tail and it appears happy, it's not real.

Now, the text says that 'she'll appear from the darkness' and guess how Toneth is summoned? By the actions of the Shadow Monster Man. Now, the second sentence says that 'they wander the Newmaker Plane.' We can hardly say that Care wanders the plane, since all she does is sit in her room, but Toneth seems to live in the actual wilderness of the Newmaker Plane and has to be summoned to be collected, so it actually does change his postion, thus 'wandering'.

Now finally, why would the husband want to shoot Toneth/the dog? Simple, just read Toneths description again:

Because when the car hit him I thought "at least it will be over soon." He survived it, and I was the only one who still wanted to put him down.

He wants to euthanize it to put it out of its misery.
