Souls player just finished the game

I've had +500 hours of souls gaming. So in the light of what my lord Vaati and other gamers told me about the game I bought it.

The whole story is described in just 3 sentences.

The design and music are cheap, and despite REALLY taking my time I finished the game in 18 hours. Once finished, i didn't wanted to pursue NG+. Maybe i got really disappointed by this game only because I was expecting a good experience like I had with the Souls Series.

Is there some PvP ? Somes challenges to overcome?
