Let's talk injuy

Seems to me that crashing and injuring yourself is almost inevitable sometimes in your life as a road cyclist. I see so many broken clavicle, elbows, hips etc around me that it's starting to make me nervous. Having a kid in the past year seems to have made me even more scared. I am starting to wonder if it would be better for me to spend my weekend mornings playing golf, like I used to, instead of zipping around at high speed on broken streets.

How do you cope with the fear? For those who hurt themselves, why did you climb back on the bike? And is there anyone with over 50 000 km who hasn't crashed?
