Can I play H2H without getting crushed by microblitzes and money plays?

My only experience with 17 was getting devestated by blitzes and cheesy money plays.

Is 18 going to be as bad if I play seasons/ranked? I just don't enjoy it or want to have to learn how to break things myself.

I'll just stick to solo challenges and the draft Champs ai match ups if it's a shitshow online.

Just curious what to expect.
