Whispering Ice quad curse support?

Hey everyone. I've been playing Path for a long while now but never made my own build. I am pretty bad at the game so I am not sure I can but the endless possibilities are my favorite part of path.

Anyways, I was tossing around the idea of a support character using whispering ice to quad curse. It wouldn't be damage focused, in fact I'd be running elemental equilibrium because my girlfriend is playing lightning and roomate plays fire. I figured whispering ice with AoE, curse on hit, and 4 curse gems might be a fun way to support them.

Problem is, I have no idea if it actually works. The fact that there are no builds about it has me thinking its probably crap but I wanted to come here and see if anyone thinks it could work. If you have any ideas please share.

EDIT: Or if going occultist maybe replace AOE support with cull to get those chaos explosion procs.
