Is there a way to revert Gobi Campaign Sniper Rifle's nerfs or should I just use an AMR?

So yesterday I decided to do a fun run with a maxed out character and be the fearsome NCR sniper or something. So I went to Sniper's Nest, grabbed myself the Gobi rifle and the 1st Recon Beret, and I will get the Elite Riot Gear from LR as well, but I did some research a few minutes ago, and the Gobi rifle's crit multiplier was nerfed to 2x instead of 5x and it couldn't get %100 crit anymore, is there a way to revert this? I really don't like using AMR. Edit: I have the Ultimate Edition of the game.
