Falsely suspected of theft, Am I going to get fired?

So I was stocking in an aisle and found a empty container of deli food, I threw it on my top stock cart and later through it in the trash, I later overheard the managers saying that I stole it and it was dug out of the trash. I know I shouldn't of just thrown it out but I did not steal it. Am I going to get fired for this?
