Some questions before getting a new motherboard [motherboard]

Hi. Long story short I'm still reletivlly new to pic building.

And I just wanted to know if I were to get and install a new motherboard if I had to reinstall my operating system as well as everything else.

I'd be using the same hard drives from my older build.
