Profile Review

Alright reddit, getting to roast me:

Undergrad: Mechanical Engineering at small private college with 2.7 GPA

Graduate: Mechanical Engineering at public university with 3.5 GPA

WE: 2 year at automotive Supplier and then 2 year at Detroit Big 3 (GM, Ford, Chrysler)

EC: Played 2 year NCAA football before I got hurt. Small day events here and there.

GMAT: Haven't taken yet but shooting for 700 -730. Will retake until necessary.

Schools: Stern (Reach), Anderson(Reach), Tepper, Marshall, Foster

Goal of MBA: If I am able to get into NYU, try go break into ibanking. I have a connection that may be able to help. Otherwise, shoot for strategic consulting within the automotive field.

Reason: I am in a pretty technical field so my career path is towards becoming a technical expert/tech fellow. Not very happy about it so would like to make a career switch. Ibanking because of the lucrative opportunities. Consultant because I would like to I love automotive and would like to be apart of the big decisions. Also, would like to move from Michigan.

I think I can paint a picture of having an upward trend based on my education (from 2.7 GPA at undergrad to 3.5 GPA for my masters) and WE (moving up from a supplier to a OEM company).

Is NYU within realms of possibility? What other EC could I do to improve my profile? And any other school recommendations?

Thanks alot!
