I think my stress has finally "normalized"

First time poster but I've been lurking for quite some time. I'm a high school senior and I would consider myself to have several anxiety. My anxiety and stress would normally lead me to believe everything would have the worst outcome. And as a result I would avoid a lot of things that most likely would turn out to be good for me. But it also led me to believe that bad decisions could be some how beneficial to me because I would just talk myself into stupid shit all the time. But now I think I've finally found myself at a point where the anxiety I feel is leading me to avoid bad things and accept the good things in life. I find myself wanting to take on the toughest decisions and wanting to dive head first into new and potentially scary situations.

I'm writing this in my doctor's office where for the first time I won't be asking for more or different meds. And I can honestly say I think I'm doing well. I've gained a lot of weight back from the past year where I've dropped about 20 pounds (I only weigh about 156 now and I used to be 165. But for a period I was below 140). I feel good. And I know that if I can feel good that everyone else here can too. This is coming from the guy who just two years ago, was afraid to order at a restaurant.

So if you read this thanks a lot for this sub. I've always come here when I was nervous or if I was having an attack.
