On September the 6th, workers from textile and electronics factories have marched in a protest counting 24000 people in the main street of Baghdad near Suq al Ghazil.

The protest was leaded by Asim Flayyeh, Mahdi Hashim, and Zaki Khairi from the Iraqi Communist Party after rallying the workers for their cause against the monarchy.

King Faisal have spoken saying that these protests are "not a good idea" in the current hard times of Iraq.
