So my skate exploded...

Long story short; my first and only pair of skates (Nike Ignites circa early 2000s) took a slapshot off the side of the toe which resulted in the plastic toe in 200 pieces....so that took a bit to clean up. Easy solution would be to buy new skates, which I had done, however bambi skating ensued. These skates were clouds on my feet (both in comfort and weight) and it pains me to think that I will have to get new ones. So I come to the community of reddit for some chance that a suggestion could be made on how to repair it since black hockey tape isn't fooling anyone anymore.
