Day 80+ Verse

Where has the time gone? It feels like just yesterday I joined this site. Before I found reddit and God changed my life, I desperately wanted to go one week without pmo. I would have given anything to simply go one week without pmo. I would have given anything to go 4 days without pmo, and this lasted for 7 years.

After 7 years of struggling in secret I decided to talk to my pastor and my brother about it, and both were very supportive. The struggle didn't end there, but the seeds were planted that allowed me to get back on the right path. Another month went by, and I was still struggling with this sin, and I can distinctly remember taking a shower after relapsing, wondering how I was going to kill myself and just end it all. I had just about given up on life, and I cried out to God again.

The next day by a miracle of God I found this reddit site, and I couldn't tell you how I got here if I tried. I went to google and the next thing I knew, I was here on reddit making my first post. Thoughts of suicide turned into optimism for the future, and optimism turned into hope, and hope turned into joy. Today is day 80, and it is still a surreal feeling to be writing this post. The streak doesn't mean anything to me, but it is a great way to remind yourself that God is a redeeming God. Don't ever give up hope, you may have done and seen some terrible things (like I did), but God will redeem you no matter your past. Thank you God for day 80, here is to a lifetime of freedom from the burden of sin. Praying for you all, God bless!

Romans 13:12-14 NIV: The night is almost over; the day is almost near. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothes yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.
