[28/M] CL -> DK. German citizen wants to relocate either with The Positive List or EU free movement rules along with wife

I'm a German citizen currently living in Chile with my chilean wife, working remotely for a Danish company. We're looking to relocate to Denmark to continue working for the same company, and so far I've found two options for doing so:

  • My job falls under "The Positive List", which is the best option I see so far to move to Denmark and bring my wife with me
  • Relocate to Denmark under the EU free movement rules and have my wife apply for family reunification under EU rules

I would much rather use the second option as it seems like a very simple way of moving to an EU country (there are very few documents and costs involved, though correct me if I'm wrong). However, it appears that in order for my wife to apply for family reunification, I have to already live in Denmark, and to basically have established myself in the country. It doesn't seem like it's possible to do this process together (as in, we both move to Denmark at the same time and start the whole residence process in the country). I would rather avoid having to move first and then wait for the whole family reunification process (which apparently can take up to six months!).

Is there something I might be missing with regards to the EU free movement rules and family reunification? I know we can apply through The Positive List which makes things easier but we want to keep our options open.

Tak for hjælpen!
