Does keto cause fatty liver?

I was watching a video by Dr. Eric Berg, who is a huge advocate of keto and intermittent fasting. He mentioned that in the absence of large amounts of veggies you can get a fatty liver from the way that your liver breaks down fat for energy on keto. He explained it better than I can.
I admit that I eat very little veggies, sometimes none at all while doing keto. I just forget to eat them with meals.
So is there any truth to this that you can get a fatty liver on keto if you don't consume a large amount of veggies?
